Markham is at the center of Canada’s second largest tech cluster and home to a robust technology and innovation ecosystem, made up of 1500+ technology companies that generate 37,000 jobs.

Leading global technology leaders and emerging technology innovators IBM Canada, AMD, GM Canada, G&D, Qualcomm, Huawei, Pond Technologies, Bluewrist and Hyperion Sensors have made Markham their home to create the latest software and hardware to support industry sectors including: ICT, medical devices, finance and insurance, software engineering, gaming, advanced manufacturing and autonomous vehicles.

Markham’s innovation ecosystem is rich with resources and accelerator partners including ventureLAB, the IBM Innovation Space - Markham Convergence Centre, and York University’s YSpace to support tech start-ups, entrepreneurs, and high growth companies transform and bring their business to global markets.
