Tecta-PDS manufactures the TECTA rapid, the world's only USEPA approved automated test for E.coli in drinking water. Borne out of the Walkerton disaster, a tragic event in Ontario, Canada where several people died, and thousands were made ill by drinking water contaminated with E. Coli, the system uses automated microbial detection to ensure faster time to detection, objective analysis of results, easy-to-use, portability and cost savings over traditional methods. The solution automates the entire monitoring, interpretation and reporting process and can test everything from drinking water to wastewater without dilutions or sample manipulations. The method offers increased efficiencies to lab operations, with all the benefits of onsite testing, including event investigations like treated water complaints or environmental monitoring of unplanned sewage overflows. TECTA-PDS supplies to 40+ countries worldwide via a network of distributors, including hundreds of municipal water operators and government agencies.
