The Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade invites Ontario companies to indicate their interest in joining an Infrastructure and ICT-focused Business Mission to India from November 18-22, 2019 led by Minister Vic Fedeli.

The trade mission will visit Mumbai (Maharashtra) and New Delhi (Delhi) and will include industry intelligence briefings, panel discussions, B2B meetings, site visits, and the opportunity to attend conferences hosted by the Indo-Canadian Business Chamber and Canada-India Business Council.

India is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and aims to become a US$5-trillion economy in the next five years. Today, India boasts five megacities, each with an estimated 10 million people.

A key national objective is to bolster the quality of life for citizens through Smart Cities and Digital India, major initiatives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration and the two themes of Minister Fedeli’s trade mission to the country.

Ontario companies from the targeted sectors will meet key Indian decision-makers from:

  • Infrastructure and construction companies
  • Telecom companies and system integrators
  • Banks and other financial institutions
  • Relevant government departments and agencies
  • Industry-specific distributors and agents
