Invest WindsorEssex (IWE) is the lead economic development agency for the Windsor-Essex region. The focus of the organization is to develop and execute strategies to retain, expand, attract and help new businesses start-up in Windsor-Essex. Led by a board of distinguished community leaders, the IWE team provides assistance with location and investment decisions by working one-on-one with businesses to facilitate the process of starting, growing or locating a business in Windsor-Essex.
Invest WindsorEssex has a department dedicated to the growth of the region’s automobility sector. The Automobility and Innovation team supports small-and-medium enterprises by providing free access to specialized hardware and software at Canada’s largest publicly accessible Virtual Reality (VR) CAVE designed to support technology development of connected, autonomous, and electrified vehicles.
