With an integrated supply chain, 500 tool, die and mould companies and over 700 parts suppliers that offer a multitude services, and technologies from smart mobility to ‘green steel’, Ontario companies are driving the global auto industry forward.

Since Ontario implemented the first traffic computer in the world in 1964, it has embraced intelligent transportation systems: from the Highway 401 COMPASS freeway management system and Highway 407 all-electronic tolling system, to the launch of V2I/V2V pilot projects in Toronto and Ottawa. Today, Ontario’s ITS industry encompasses a dynamic ecosystem of hardware manufacturers, software integrators, and engineering and consulting firms — all with a strong focus on competing in global markets.
