Profile

The Canadian Photonics Fabrication Centre (CPFC) is a pure-play III-V compound semiconductor wafer foundry. Its 48,000 sq ft (4500 sq m) facility is a centralized, end-to-end, fully commercial operation with wholly-owned capital equipment dedicated to mid/high volume wafer fabrication. It is located at the National Research Council of Canada in Ottawa. For over 20 years, it has worked with clients to move custom-design, best-in-class photonic devices from early R&D/prototyping stages into high yield, high volume manufacturing.
