Bough Biosciences is a pre-seed stage biotech focused on the development of a therapy for treatment resistant depression. Its approach targets cellular senescence, "zombie cells", in the brain that secrete harmful factors, exacerbating depressive symptoms. By developing a drug to clear these senescent cells, Bough Biosciences intend to normalize brain activity and offer a new, effective treatment for these patients. It is currently raising a seed round to fund the discovery and development of our therapeutic.
