Profile
Blood glucose monitoring, multi-year subdermal implant.
Dermal Therapy Research Inc., in collaboration with scientists at the Karolinska Institute, Sweden, has developed a multi-year (possibly lifetime) subdermal implanted device to monitor blood glucose levels via a smartphone, eliminating the need for onboard power, batteries, reagents, or optics. Each measurement takes seconds, making this device suitable for a single test or CGM, as reported in Nature’s Scientific Reports.
It is seeking a partner for regulatory testing, registration and commercialization.
