Lyrata is a Canadian agri-tech clean-tech startup creating novel grow-media (“soil”) technologies to grow crops with better performance and sustainability.
Grow-media (“soil”) for indoor farming, mainly rockwool, is energy-intensive and polluting to produce and recycle, with emissions on par with cement. Lyrata’s patent-pending SmartSoil is a 3D-printed, biodegradable, and reusable grow-media with better performance and sustainability than industry-leaders Grodan and Jiffy. Lyrata offers a B2B SmartSoil-as-a-Service (SaaS ) model to hydroponic equipment manufacturers and commercial indoor farms. SaaS provides B2B clients with SmartSoil grow-media, farm automation tools, proprietary biostimulant coatings, and Lyrata A.I. for a monthly subscription price based on order quantity.
