Solving Catheter Instability in Cardiac Ablation

Aufero Medical is a clinical-stage medical device company developing TruContact, a mechanical catheter-stabilization accessory for electrophysiology (EP) ablation procedures. TruContact improves the consistency, efficiency, and durability of focal ablation by solving a long-standing, unaddressed mechanical problem: catheter instability during lesion delivery.

The problem:

Catheter instability rom cardiac motion, respiratory motion, and operator micro-motion remains a primary driver of lesion variability and AF recurrence. Physicians compensate manually today and reduce heart motion, which is inconsistent and doesn't scale for outpatient/ASC settings.

The solution:

TruContact treats instability as a mechanical problem, not a behavioral one. It's an external accessory that maintains consistent catheter contact throughout ablation. TruContact keeps catheter contact within optimal working range, reducing variability that leads to incomplete or non-durable lesions. TruContact is optional, energy-agnostic, and workflow-preserving; it integrates into existing focal RF, dual-energy, and future PFA workflows without replacing the catheter, mapping system, or physician technique.
