Pulsed power for heated windshield defrost and defog.
Betterfrost provides a low-energy defrost and defog solution for Electric Vehicles that uses 95% less energy for defrost and 32% less cabin heating energy for continuous defog during highway driving at -5C and -20C. Their patented solution pulses power to control heat so that it only reaches the boundary layer of ice. As a result, no heat is wasted into the environment. The system uses existing power electronics in the vehicle, with the only addition of a System on a Chip and one wire harness. Demonstration EV available.
Betterfrost provides the most efficient surface heating solutions for defrost and defog in EVs. Their algorithms are available on a System on Chip (SOC).
