RoboTape™ is an automated taping system that offers benefits to assemblies across various industries (automotive interiors/exteriors, HVAC, EV battery components, glass, architectural, industrial, medical, consumer goods and manufacturers of all kinds), with the aim of streamlining production and enhancing overall throughput.

Since 1989, Innovative Automation Inc. has been a trusted provider of custom assembly automation systems for the automotive, medical device, pharmaceutical and consumer goods sectors. In 2019, they embarked on an R&D initiative to create their first patented standard product, RoboTape™. This groundbreaking technology enables robotic application of adhesive-lined attachment tapes, foam tapes, and felt.

The RoboTape™ System is an automatic tape system designed to handle repetitive and demanding tape applications. Their proprietary remote feeding system uses bulk spools of material positioned outside of the safe zone. This allows for on-the-fly spool changes and a compact application head design for optimizing your automation cell.

It’s capability to handling diverse materials like foam, double-sided tape, felt tape, adhesive films, and attachment tapes outpaces competitors in the market. Repurposing manual processes, RoboTape™ boasts a flexible design compatible with both small and large industrial robots or cobots from various OEMs, meeting diverse customer needs.
