QVIL is an applied research lab dedicated to the development and commercialization of quantum technologies for defence and security applications. The organization transforms advanced quantum concepts into field-ready prototypes and launches spin-out companies to deploy its technologies in operational environments.
QVIL’s current focus areas include:
- Quantum-enhanced radar and RF sensing for improved detection of low-observable targets, resilience in contested environments, and enhanced surveillance and threat detection
- Quantum-based gyroscopes and accelerometers for assured navigation in GNSS-denied and contested environments
- Atomic clocks enabling precision timing and synchronization for secure communications, navigation, and defence infrastructure
