20/20 OptimEyes Technologies is developing OPT-101, a sustained-release glaucoma eye drop designed to reduce dosing from once daily to once weekly. OPT-101 combines latanoprost, a proven first-line glaucoma therapy, with OptimEyes’ proprietary Mucoadhesive Nanoparticle (MNP) drug delivery platform to provide sustained local drug delivery and reduce dosing frequency. Beyond glaucoma, the MNP platform has demonstrated the ability to improve the delivery of a range of hydrophobic small molecules, with potential applications across ocular and other mucosal routes. OptimEyes is advancing OPT-101 toward clinical development while exploring pharmaceutical partnerships for new therapeutic applications of the MNP platform. The company is also seeking financing and is open to broader strategic opportunities around its lead program, platform and company.
