Specific Biologics’ mission is to develop therapeutics to treat or cure disease through precision gene editing. Its Dualase gene editors are designed to overcome unpredictable or inefficient repair that limits many therapeutic applications of other gene editors. Dualase’s two-site mechanism creates precision deletions to disrupt genes or increases repair to correct genes in cells. The company has developed a pipeline of differentiated, Dualase-based therapies across multiple therapeutic areas, including lung, ocular, CNS, and liver disorders.
